Ikke lige så god som de forrige, men tror det er en fin opbyggende fortælling til de næste i rækken.

Reread Jan 1-5 2024 4.5/5 stars
What a great book to start off the year! I remember this being my least favorite book of the series the first and second time I read this. There were so many new characters involved that I didn't care for (yet) and so many jumps in plot lines that it frustrated me (even though I rated it 5 stars apparently in my first read, but it's mostly because of the ending). However, this time I really enjoyed this book! It really is the book where everything changes. I loved Manon's chapters. They were actually better than Chaol/Aedion's and Dorian's.
I had forgotten how much of an a** Rowan is in the beginning of this book... I know he doesn't know anything about Celaena's past but how can he always say the WORST possible things to her??? Literally everything he said made me hate him. Even though, Celaena liked him at the end, he isn't fully redeemed for me yet. A part from a few "sweet" scenes, he was just a brooding d*ck.
I still don't buy Sorscha and Dorian's romance... It just isn't believable to me. I was really sad when but doesn't mean that I really rooted for her and Dorian.
Anyways I was pleasantly surprised with this reread of this book and can't wait to continue!

Wow! This was hard going in the beginning!! You can probably see how difficult it was to get in to for me by how long it took me to read it...
I loved the first two books, but this was so slow! I'm glad I finally made it in the end, but I don't have the energy to even think about reading the fourth book any time soon as it's over 600 pages!!
