I have a thing for transferring human emotions onto material things. If someone ever gives something a name, it's done, that thing will forever remain in my heart - that might be something I should unravel sometime..

There is a children's song in Swedish called Teddybjörnen Fredriksson which is about a beloved teddy bear who is forgotten by his owner when he gets older and when I was younger I hated that song. Because who could ever do that? Who could ever forget their best friend just because they got older?
That song still makes my heart ache and this book reminded me a lot of that song.

But The velveteen rabbit helped me heal a part of that childhood memory with its happy ending for all things lost and loved and for that I adore it.

Awwww, what a quaint little children’s fairytale 🫶🏽! I enjoyed the narration, and am glad I chose the audiobook version. Told from the velveteen rabbit’s perspective in such an endearing way.
