This series is definitely one of my favorites. I have been waiting for Elaina's HEA and it is finally here!
Elaina is smart, strong, and a bit hard to love. She doesn't realize that her directness can come across as prickly and rude. She works hard for what she wants and doesn't care who gets in her way.
Elaina is the CEO of the family business and is threatened by Alex, who has joined their business in R&D. Despite Elaina's prior firing of Alex, and her father's rehiring, Alex has no intentions for going after her job, though Elaina allows him to get under her skin.
A bumpy road is ahead for Elaina as she breaks out on her own to start a new business venture. Undeterred by her father's attempted interference, Elaina is forced to think outside the box to ensure her future success.
Alex can't deny his attraction to Elaina and their relationship may be just what Elaina needs to figure out what it is she really wants.

Another beautifully written story in this amazing series—the best one yet! Elaina is my favorite Robidoux, no doubt. I knew she’d be awesome! I love how strong she is, persevering, keeping her chin up and armor in place, protecting her vulnerable heart and the genuinely caring person underneath. I adore Alex for her! His determination to take things slow(er), in love and life, the way he truly sees her. He finds himself in a very difficult position, caught between so many conflicting interests and trying to do right by everyone he loves. Some of it is a trainwreck waiting to happen … and I loved seeing Elaina come out on top and getting everything she ever dreamed of, and even things she never thought were possible. Recommend this story so so hard!!

I have been waiting for this book since I read the first book in the series. Eliana is the oldest daughter (Oh, how can I relate to her character). I really hated her father and what he did to her in the story. I saw my self several times in Eliana and working to have to prove herself to her family, as well as herself. It's also refreshing to see older characters that don't have children. I loved the relationship as well as the banter between Eliana and Alex. Although I enjoyed every book in this series, this book was absolutely my favorite. Great job

Enemies-to-lovers romance with a strong heroine and hero over 40. Many aspects of book I enjoyed, but didn’t connect with Elaina. I was also bothered and frustrated by family drama. However I like the author’s writing and will look for others in the series.
