Love this world. The book expands the world the political drive and romance. it gives more insight to casias family and her background and more about the mysterious gods of the world. Absolutely enjoyed the read.
Just got a little bored. I might finish it another time.
For this book I am giving it four stars instead of five because while overall it was still an amazing read and I will be continuing on with the series, there were a few points while reading when I felt like things were dragging on a bit. Not so much where it really took me out and it was a struggle to keep reading but more so where I was getting a bit antsy and and was ready to figure out where things were heading. All in all still a great book in the series with great plot and character development. Definitely some twists that I did not see coming as well especially at the end there. I'm very much looking forward to reading the fourth book.

You know. I was really sad for a hot second. Almost set this down to come back to I was so upset, but I’ve learned my lesson and didn’t.
I’m very interested to see where this goes and what happens next for Casia and her band of delinquents. I’m truly obsessed with them. It’s been a long time since I’ve found an author who writes characters that I so easily and fully attach myself too.

While I’m enjoying this series some things are falling short for me. Somethings need more detail and expansion and others are over expanded or explained.

Book 3 felt harder to get through and I’m not sure if I’ll continue. The books need to be trimmed up. We don’t need to read about every bit of traveling, every night not sleeping, every worrisome thought. I think if it was edited down to move more quickly the books would be better.

i cant really pinpoint why it was so hard for me to get into the third book, the first 35-50% was definitely slow but then it peaked my interest again. the one thing that bothered me was the amount of times the word “more” was used. maybe its just because english is my second language but it just felt wrong
