I found the second half of this book so hard to get through! While the first book in the series was very clearly fantasy romance, it’s now turned to fantasy with some romance elements. The romance plotting feels done, taking away the appeal that drew me in. Still, the fantasy elements and plot are interesting.

just once time, follow through on killing someone

also sick of leaving the villain alive bc he’s ‘basically dead - no one could survive that’ when we all know how these books work

feels like season 7 of a tv show. running out of ideas so just change the names and run the same plotlines

Would be higher, but the smut is a bit cringey for me. I would prefer it left out at this point. Highly controversial viewpoint.
