Although the plot felt a bit predictable at times and there was sometimes a lack of tension or stakes, this book was still a lot of fun and absolutely delightful to read. I loved seeing all the LGBTQIA+ rep that was depicted in this book and loved the concept of the story as well. Good read!
Graphic: Kidnapping and Violence
Moderate: Drug use, Confinement, and Xenophobia
Minor: Forced institutionalization

This was a truly adorable and light superhero book that I definitely recommend! Jess is a wonderful main character and I love the discoveries she makes about herself throughout the book. I'm excited to see where things go for the rest of the series. I loved Jess and Abby's relationship! They are so adorable. This is a very fun book!
Moderate: Racism, Confinement, Violence, and Drug use
Minor: Biphobia and Outing

What a fun time! A refreshingly queer and different take on the superhero genre that touches on a range of important topics, some of which would be a spoiler to name. I liked the central friendship in this too. Will definitely pick up the sequels that are focused on Jess's best friends.
