I read The Power with a group of people over the course of several months and was surprised by the number of times I found what we were reading directly related to my life, and offered me a different way of looking at things. It would be easy to blow through this book quickly, but I think it is well worth the time to read it in small chunks to let it soak in.

“If you feel disappointment that you don’t have the money to travel, then on the subject of travel you are feeling disappointment. Feeling disappointment means you’re on the disappointment frequency and you’ll continue to receive disappointing circumstances in which you cannot travel until you change the way you feel.”
What? That’s not how life works…
If you enjoyed the above quote then go ahead and read. If you have a brain and would like to keep it, do not bother with this book.
Out of the 60+ books I’ve read this year, this is the first I’ve had to stop as it is so ridiculous. The way this author goes about having a positive mindset on life is taken to the extreme, to the point where you feel gaslighted.
I spent 1 hour listening to the audiobook and the same thing was repeated over and over again: if you have bad thoughts you’ll had bad feelings, and the universe will give you bad circumstances. And vice versa. Essentially victim blaming and saying the only reason why someone has bad things happen to them is because they have negative thoughts.
Not only is the idea taken to the extreme, but the writing quality is terrible. The consistent repetition of the same words and rephrasing/summarising ideas over and over to the point where there is no new ideas after the first five minutes.

I came across a blog a couple of months ago where the person referred to this book constantly and said it was a life changer. I was skeptical because I remember watching 'The Secret' 15 years ago and thinking it was hokey. That said, I really did find this book uplifting. I liked a lot of the ideas. Nothing was super ground breaking, but it was beautifully written and I was happy everytime I opened it up and read a few pages. It helped my outlook and felt very grounding to read.

Same as The Secret. Good to lift ur positivity. But not recommended if you already read The Secret.
this book was so damn good. If you need an energy booster, THIS IS THE ONE. I read it over for quite a while, so not everything is coherent and fresh in my brain.
