I think I just wasn’t in the mood to read this otherwise I may have liked it a bit more. (Or maybe not who knows) I kinda had to force myself to finish once I hit 71% 😭 but I did like how the story ended overall. I also felt like Astrid was a completely different person compared to Delilah’s story but I do realize we only saw her through Delilah’s pov so that might be why. Otherwise this was okay 🤷🏽‍♀️

❤️ ASTRID PARKER DOESN’T FAIL FEATURES ❤️
Queer Romance (Bi MC + Lesbian MC) - LGBTQIA Author - Romantic Comedy - Rivals to Lovers - Opposites Attract - Meet Disaster - Slow Burn - Workplace Romance - Duel POV - Open Door

❤️ WHAT I LIKED ❤️
Sizzling Chemistry - Haunted Victorian Inn - Home Makeover TV Show (Jordan’s Grandmother’s Inn) - Opposing Design Styles - Grumpy Carpenter vs Uptight Designer

❗️ WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE ❗️
I loved it, but Astrid’s relationship with her mom and the way Astrid lets her mom’s voice in her head control her is difficult to read and can be uncomfortable if it is triggering for you.

God I love the comedy and I wished Astrid was more of a bisexual disaster. Also the romance was a let down because Jordan didn't want to be used and heart broken but that quickly was dismissed and yeah.. better as friends than lovers at least until the third book.

I LOVED THIS!!! i loved delilah & claire so much, so i was afraid i wouldn’t like astrid’s book as much but i was WRONG. i related hardcore to both astrid and jordan so much. i loved them both individually & together! seeing astrid grow from delilah’s book and to this one was amazing. also this was HOT - just like book 1. that closet/pantry scene???? WHEW 🥵

The two of cups part are one of the most romantic things I ever read, also all the emocional development of the characters is so well done.

This is a contemporary F/F romance that makes good use of a few popular tropes/elements: enemies to lovers, home renovation, reality TV, and competence p*rn. It also involves one character discovering her own queerness at age 30, which as someone who discovered her own queerness at age 35ish, I really appreciated.

I also liked that there were a couple of moments when one character could have really misinterpreted something, taken major offense, and flounced off to add more drama, but instead, the characters usually talked things out like responsible adults.
