This book caused a severe reading slump for me. It took me nearly a month to give up on it because I wanted to like it so badly. I’m not sure what the problem is exactly. I guess I don’t particularly care about either characters HEA at this point. The story isn’t very compelling. I’m calling it for now, but tbh I probably won’t pick it up again. This series is trying too hard &, as a result, I burned myself out trying to love it.
