This was a good first book to a series. Though it had some really slow parts. My biggest complaint is they made small things too big and big things too small, it made the characters seem very unrealistic in their behavior. Also, I wish Blue would just be honest with Gansey about how she knows about him and honest with Adam about why she can't kiss him.

this was a great read during covid - features psychics, ghosts, fun adventures to find magical places. romance was definitely on the backburner which i enjoyed, but had overall themes of forbidden love

READ THIS IN TWO DAYS YAHHH super proud of myself (i know damn well i would have taken longer if i had wifi but shorter if i had the physical copy.... but it is what it is) i looooved it! it's a perfect introduction to a series.
the missing star is cause the end was iffy to me, but the rest of the story unfolded so pleasingly i just was took along on a trip. getting to know and love every single one of the main character was nice, adam has a very special place in my heart im sosososo excited to see more! i am so excited to read a new quartet that is low fantasy for once, high fantasy makes me feel so stupid LOL
im using gr as a book journal atp without the pretty aesthetic collages
anywho wishlist for the rest of the series
i want neeve back, she's so interesting.
i want to know more about butternut
i want to see gansley evolving and realising his priveleges? ig it is because i had this idea in my brain that i am tired of reading about rich boy and seeing him being so oblivious to how adam struggled - even if it was realer than anything he inherited without working for - wasn't something to yearn for.
i want to see more of ronan and of the lynch brothers, their dynamic is interesting and ronan's self destructive habits are intriguing like. is the boy okay
im also glad it only took this book for adam to get out of his abusive situation if it took any longer i would have dreaded it. the little habits the writer put to characterise the raven boys were lovely, i like when slight gestures (glances breaths you name it) give characters a personality of their own
anyways it's promising! im scared that i'll be dissapointed by what's next (i probably won't)
