I loved so much about this. Lottie is a super unlikeable character, which honestly makes a lot of what she says and does really funny and eye roll worthy. She’s dramatic and an over privileged brat with fantastic fashion sense. I’m not someone that has to love a character in order to enjoy the story. What I loved the MOST was the art. This is, simply put, the most visually stunning comic I’ve ever read. I LOVE the colors and art style.
I’m also enjoying the subtle mystery/thriller factor that played into the story. Definitely kept me entertained the whole time!
My biggest complaint is the lack of diversity in this book. Every friend/love interest is a young skinny beautiful white person. The one black character rep is Lottie’s intern named Esther, which she doesn’t even pay, and gets pissed when she leaves to pursue a career. 🤔🙄 not cool.

The art is beautiful, but legit have no idea what's going on other than that. Literally no idea.
Not entirely sure what i just read....? Im intrigued so i’m going to pick up the next vol. LOVED this art style, its stunning.

The characters are unique, but Lottie really annoys me majority of the time. I know she’s written to be like that, but I can’t help feeling annoyed with her. My god this was bad. This is like everything that I hate in comics all rolled into one. And it comes from Bryan Lee O'Malley which is the biggest disappointment, I loved everything this guys put out until now. This is just.. bad.
The writing is crap. The characters are vapid. The plot had me intrigued for all of five minutes until it turned out its just confusing and since it revolves around these vapid characters, I'm just not interested. It committed my personal cardinal sin in comic writing of overusing texting and text speak. The subject matter in essence is something I hate, the social media lives of ultimately useless people, and instead of doing something interesting with it its just.. about it. Which I didn't expect especially because its called Snotgirl, but no, the crux of this comic is just a plot device, not an exposition or a satirical device. I have a lot of problems with this comic and the problem is almost everything. I hate this.
On the plus side, the manga style art was neat.

My friend recommended this to me, and I absolutely ENJOYED IT! Such an entertaining read. Looooved how Lottie can be dramatic & extra xD I can relate to her in so many situations. She's so funny!
Can't wait for the upcoming arcs <3
