I thought this was going to be fun and offbeat in a Scott Pilgrim sort of way. But the storyline is a snoozefest and I kept thinking that the author hates the main character. Snotgirl is shallow, naive, spiteful and utterly ridiculous. I feel like this wants to be an attempt of having fun with the social media lifestyle, but instead comes across as mean spirited. Too bad, there is a lot of premise here and the art is crazy cool.
I can't think of anyone I'd inflict this on.

Works very hard to establish a tone (glib, quirky, self-consciously stylish) and a methodology (frustrating, occasionally intriguing, perpetually obscured) but for what? This far in, it's hard to say.

I was initially skeptical of reading this because anything to do with fashion, satirical or otherwise, written by men usually comes across as vapid misinformed bullshit. However,Snotgirl tries to be a little bit more in-touch, and not as obviously written by someone who may not know exactly what they're talking about.
The illustrations are keeping me alive. Every single outfit is glorious and so effortlessly put (drawn?) together; and I am Living.
Overall I think Snotgirl is cute; the arcs are interestingly put together, beautiful illustrations, and although I'm not exactly sure where it's going and how everything fits together. Patiently waiting for the next volume!!
