Gaiman's whimsical style is so fresh and thought-provoking to me. I love the way he approaches death and all things macabre in this book, giving us a new way to look at it. I actually cried when it was over.

I read this all in one sitting and I loved it! I don't see how I could have not, as I grew up loving The Jungle Book, fairy tales, and ghost stories; and recently rediscovered my attraction to old graveyards (having recently moved to Maine, where old "grave gardens" abound). It's spooky and funny and charming and mysterious and poignant, all wrapped up in a children's book. Well done!
