Lovely illustrations. I got a little choked up at a few parts in this Mother’s ode to her child.

This is one of the most beautiful baby books I’ve ever seen. What a gift to the world by these two indigenous artists.

This was such a warm book. I'm not sure how else to describe it, but reading it made me feel so fulfilled. It was comforting and it was great to see into someone else's life and how the pregnancy was a positive thing instead of something to dread. It was inspiring.

Plus, the artwork was stunning! I loved the connection of the sparkly flow throughout the book and the colors and connections to the text were beautiful. It took my breath away.

I cried when the book was done and I plan to read it to my kids if I ever have any.

I wanted to like this more than I did. I like the concept. But the text didn't quite work for me. And the art didn't quite have the wow factor of some of the artist's other work. It was a good welcoming pregnancy book. But I was hoping for more. 3.5 of 5.
