While not as good as I had hoped, the zombie action and that included in the storyline lead to some very interesting developments and changes that made the book quite interesting and different that the original.

I still love the original, but am proud to keep a copy of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies next to my original copy of Pride and Prejudice. Both offer a wonderful love story and each have thier own unique aspects to make them both good reads for anyone.

The physical copy stinks of cigarette smoke so I figure it's unwise to keep by the bed with me 😭

The genteel world of Austen mixed with the fantastic world of zombies and ninjas makes for a fun romp.

I haven't actually ever read Jane Austen, I have only listened to a few audiobook renditions of her works, including Pride and Prejudice, which I love. This was a funny, gritty, more violent version of P&P. It was ridiculous and over the top and still I thought it needed to be a bit more different -maybe bloodier. Or less ninja-adjacent. Like, I like that the Bennet sisters are trained fighters, but the whole English society having gone to train is Asia is a bit bizarre. Knowing the british empire they would have enslaved said asians and made them fight instead. I guess zombies are easier to believe than englishfolk being humble enough to acknowledge another culture's superiority in any regard. But I digress. I merely think that mixing zombies and ninjas was a bit much for me. Were it not that I love the original story, I don't think I would have enjoyed this version very much.

Well written and thought out, but somehow not my cup of tea.

Hilarious. Definitely absurd, definitely someone just adding a single device into the original novel, but still hilarious. I recommend it if you like the original and are in the mood for something ridiculous.

The zombie killing, martial arts training, just threw the story off to far for me. Stick with the original.
