The bullet: Yep, it's a gimmick, but with decent execution, as long as you don't take it too seriously.

This is one I read in my relatively brief stint as a reviewer for an online literature database. Thus, I would probably never have picked it up if I hadn't been required to review it. It's cartoonish in the classic sense: the protagonist's superpower involves bonking any problem he faces with his giant head.
It's pretty easy to follow, the illustrations are angular and (thus?) exciting, the colors are glaring and obnoxious in the best way.
I feel absolutely no need to read any more of them, and left with a shrug, but it could be worse. And some kids will really dig it. Which is my ultimate bottom line of acceptable.
Picture me with one thumb up, saying "Meh?" out of a smiling mouth.

p.s. I kinda liked the wide variety of unusual superheroes.
