I loved Albert and his friends and this lovely story of how he had the courage to become his true self regardless of his age.

While I thoroughly support the idea of the plot.... the writing was blah. Good characters couldn't get me past the just plain stilted mental conversations that Albert kept having with himself. Who does that?
Not quite a 3 but an easy book to fall asleep to, and although often trite it demonstrates what it could be like to be gay within my lifetime.
I rate simply: 5 = liked it, 3 = meh, and 1 = didn't like it.
I read the last third (or more) without stopping because I had to see what happened (even though I was sure I kne) and how it happened.
