I really loved this book. Although there was a bit of a slow start, I came to love Albert and got very invested in his journey. I think what really made this book was the people around him, and those characters were just lovely to get to know as the book went on. Makes you really reflect on what struggles people went through in the queer community to have gotten where we are today.

It got me back in to reading after a 2 year rut of not being able to finish a single book
Loved reading about Albert and his journey. Knowing people care about you and accept you is so important and thankfully Albert finds this out before it’s too late.
Sweet story but I felt some scenes deserved more dialogue. Just as things started to get interesting, there's be a time jump or a scene shift. The best parts were the flashbacks of George and Albert, and I wish the book had carried that same tone/style throughout. I still enjoyed it though

Do you ever wake up and decide today is the day I'm going to change my life? That's what this book feels like. Albert' s modern adventure of self-actualization is cute, inspiring, and beautifully heart-felt. Sprinkled with a bit of love (in all forms) it makes for the perfect light read.
