Albert is a likable character who has lived a sheltered life, but it's about to be turned on its head. He decides that the notice of his retirement will allow for him to take time to find his lost love, in the time he has left on his job as a post man, he finds unexpected community, unexpected friends and the joy of giving to others as much as allowing himself to receive gifts.
His adventure and generosity turn his life around and help him to locate his lost lover George, the man he loved 50 years ago (during a different time). It was an enjoyable romp and likable folks he meets and who support him along his journey. I enjoyed his kind heart and his spirt of adventure.

Predictable, but enjoyable. A light fast read that is well narrated. I like to think societal acceptance has matured, but I think it's just been shifted to other issues.
Decided to opt for spending my time reading other books I'm currently in the middle of that I find more interesting. Just wasn't enraptured with this enough right now to spend more energy and time on
