This was a strong sequel! I often find the sequels unnecessary but as always, Lisa Jewell carefully crafted this story. I thought that The Family Upstairs wrapped up quite well, but this book provided even more context to what happened afterward and closure. I loved getting Rachel’s perspective and really liked her as a dynamic character. This book also offered more insight into Henry which was interesting. I only read The Family Upstairs about 6 months ago, but it was sometimes difficult remembering the characters and what exactly had happened. I would recommend reading the two books as close together as possible.
