Quick Info
Standalone/Cliffhanger?: Standalone
Part of a Series?: Yes
----------------------------------
Meeting the Characters
Emma Hart
Freddie
Heidi
Agnes
----------------------------------
What happens?
Emma is set to defend her friend from being accused of putting a dwarf into a deep sleep. She knows Sophie is innocent as she is the sweetest witch around but the lazy sheriff is too busy looking forward to being on the golf course than to investigate a possible murder.
Her law case is defending a brownie who is being charged for stealing and stalking his ex girlfriend.
Final thoughts
I like the owl, hes a good addition to this story and I enjoy reading Emma's relationship with him.
I didn't really enjoy the law case in this book, its a bit stereotypical as I'm pretty sure Brownie's are known for stealing. Its also kind of sad how its resolved but nice all at once?
The murder/ish was very interesting. I was curious to see who had done that to Freddie but I was also really happy with how this is resolved. Its a good twist.

Fun as always. This one specifically had many dating hijinks for many of the characters.

3.5 stars. Reading this series is like visiting an old friend. It’s relaxing and comfortable, and remarkably easy to read. I enjoyed the setting and characters, as well as Emma’s investigation into her own magical heritage. The mysteries are interesting as well. I’ll definitely continue the series!

A sleeping dwarf. Lots of zany fake dating adventures with possibly the worst dates ever! So hilarious! Emma and Gabriel dancing around the possibility of… something… Ah, Spellbound. This is a fun one if you like light, cozy paranormal mysteries. A cute quick read.
