No one writes a sci-fi thriller as fast-paced as Blake Crouch. I read this and Dark Matter ridiculously fast because you just can't put them down.
The sci-fi trope/theme in this one isn't my favorite, but Crouch does put an interesting spin on it with the idea of memories. I won't go into the "memory disease" because, spoilers, but it becomes something more or different than what it seems at first, at least for me. I think I liked what Dark Matter tackled a little more, but that is a personal preference, I think they are equally great for the genre and their stories. The weakest aspect might be the characters at the beginning, but that doesn't bother me in a thriller, and Crouch does make you relate and care about them as the story progresses.

In terms of sci fi stories, this is what I was looking for. A nov filled with time travel mishaps and interconnected loops. I enjoyed this book a lot. Although the ending didn’t have a lot of grandeur, it still tied the bow well, and I’m glad I found this book.

A wild ride of a time travel story with twists you'd never expect and a love story you don't see coming.
