The book starts off very slow. Don’t give up on it. Just be patient.

I got this one as part of the Stuff your kindle event and I have to say I’m sad I wasted my time on it. And I’m glad I didn’t pay anything for it. I thought the book has a interesting premise and it started out quite well, only to have an ending that undermines everything that it preaches in the beginning.
This was a fat phobic book pretending to be “evolved” and on board with all the body positivity movement only to end with a praise to breastfeeding for its dieting properties. Truly disappointing.

While I did enjoy the plot and the characters of this book, it has elements that made me yell "hell no" especially the internalised fatphobia and glorifying thinness even though it's supposed to be fat positive/body neutral and the sometimes toxic possessiveness surrounding their relationship and virginity. And it's often rather obvious the author isn't from the UK not just in the language but in other details as well. I still enjoyed the book and because I'm a sucker for interconnected stand-alones I'm probably going to read the Harris Brothers series. I'm definitely reading the book about Tilly and Santino because I'm very intrigued.

I could not, for the love of me, feel the chemistry between the two MCs. I don't like how Freya is willing to lie just so she would not feel left out because she's still a virgin. Or how utterly clumsy she is. Like really. And her calling it THE sex is just... I just could not handle the cringe overall

The MC had so much internal fat phobia and spent the entirety of the epilogue focused on their weight loss. Not a great representation of plus size rep. Would not recommend.
