I loved the obvious friendship between Freya and Mac, and we get to see so much of it. Dialogue and banter were pretty good. I didn’t care for the name calling and smacks to the arm/chest that Freya kept giving Mac. I also didn’t like that they were cruel to each other in the 3rd act breakup, that made it lose half a star for me.

While I did enjoy the plot and the characters of this book, it has elements that made me yell "hell no" especially the internalised fatphobia and glorifying thinness even though it's supposed to be fat positive/body neutral and the sometimes toxic possessiveness surrounding their relationship and virginity. And it's often rather obvious the author isn't from the UK not just in the language but in other details as well. I still enjoyed the book and because I'm a sucker for interconnected stand-alones I'm probably going to read the Harris Brothers series. I'm definitely reading the book about Tilly and Santino because I'm very intrigued.

I could not, for the love of me, feel the chemistry between the two MCs. I don't like how Freya is willing to lie just so she would not feel left out because she's still a virgin. Or how utterly clumsy she is. Like really. And her calling it THE sex is just... I just could not handle the cringe overall
