Didn't really expect to read Amish copaganda. Yet here I am. In deciding to join my library's book club, this was the next book they read. It was an interesting read and overall I enjoyed it. I didn't appreciate how much the ending tried to constantly state that it was a few bad cops and most of the cops were good. They're also were some interesting places where one could really interpret aspects of the story in different ways and that would change the ways in which one interprets the main plot of the story. As an example was the wife actually having an affair? Or was this cop that we know sexually assaulted at least one other woman and have been setting up the wif 's husband for a few years, just using the affair as a cover to sexually assault yet another woman? I think that there could have been a lot more interesting paths to have been explored that we're really lacking because we took this cop story of an affair at face value. The felt very counter to the ways in which up until that point we were questioning the cops.

Crime fiction set in Amish country was overall interesting.
