And that my friends is it - for the moment anyway - the last of my stash of Mr Men and Little Miss books that I got from the opp shop and it has been a fun time reading them one a day for a while - I am looking at a Mr Men binge fest coming soon when I visit my friends place but for now that is all she wrote and Little Miss Giggles was a fitting brief farewell to this universe and Hargreaves wit and charm - another great story in a great universe of fiction that he created.

A year and a half later and I have re-read it in my quest to read them all. Now in the box set I have this was book number #7 so not sure why the I=difference in numbering, but there you have it. A fine read.
Little Miss #7

Today, the nephew told me he hated Little Miss books. My heart sank a bit. I told him that Mr. Happy, Mr. Funny and Mr. Topsy-Turvy were all in there and what do you know, he really enjoyed this story after all. I think it was more he wanted to watch TV instead of read. The book hooked him anyway. He gave it 3 stars after all.

Little Miss Giggle lost her giggle and Mr. Happy helps her find it again.

The wall paper in this one is extreme, lines verses checks and all kinds of 80s decor. I still think these books are fun. Just a few hundred left.

Ah, Mr Men and Little Miss, how wonderful you are!

These books made up so much of my childhood. No matter what I would go ahead and pick one up. I worked my way through them all a couple of times. Each one has a wonderful story for the child to engage with, each character being fun to read.

Everyone has a bias for their favourite character, yet every book is delightful.

Was not a hit with Gilly. She smiled when Little Miss Giggles lost her giggle. She's not great at storytime.
