Stacks of aliens, outer space shenanigans, and 'the Jake formerly known as Prince'. Pretty fun times.

Yes. Sci Fi was strong with this one. We went to Z-space, on the spaceship, to a different planet, and met aliens. I loved it.

The Animorphs set out to block the Yeerk's acquisition of a high-ranking Secret Service agent, but are confronted by Visser Three himself in a morph that disturbs Ax. A follow up mission ends up sending the Animorphs to a distant part of the galaxy in the frontlines of another confrontation between Yeerk forces and the Andalites.
Most of this book is spent outside of Earth, the mechanics of what happened are never really explained, but the reader can and should just go with it. The story is a lot of fun.
The most important thing is that the Animorphs all come face to face with the broader Andalite culture and Ax's own eyes are opened to the realities of his people's politics and the dangerous inroads the Yeerks have made outside of Earth. The exploration of Leeran culture is interesting, and time will tell if it pays off.

A against time that involves z-space, a battle on another planet, and mosquitoes. Ax-narrated books are always fun to read.

absolutely batshit. thank you
the one cool part isgetting to see ax's interactions with the andalites. his arc there is pretty juicy - we get to see him question his military training and andalite superiority, and is torn between his loyalty to his species and his loyalty to the gang
the one cool part is

The Great Animorphs Re-Read: Teared up a bit when the Leerans came into play.

While a little slow to begin with, really do you have to introduce us to the plot and characters every single book? I really liked this one. Ax's voice is fun, if a little supercilious at times--which fits in well with his Andalite nature. The main set up is a red herring to the meat of the action which bought back lots of continuity from earlier in the series, to paraphrase the Opinionated Animorphs Book Review. Aide from that, the tension was really great in this book. It had some really beautiful moments and really awesome tension. Plus a great ending.
