supposedly, this shoulda been in my dnf but i refuse to dnf anything by mia sheridan 😠 its well-written (as expected) i just didnt quite enjoy it as i did w her other books. i feel like this book has not met its max potential yet waw hshaahsjah tapos omg the way i got so annoyed when tenleigh is ready to give up ALL of her dreams for a guy? for a GUY??? LIKE OK U LOVE HIM BUT GIRL BFFR??? ure better than this. im not saying its only right for kyland to give up his. im sure theres some other way for them to find each other someday.

At first the book was extremely slow going but once it picked up I fell in love with the characters and the town. I love the small and big things that both Kyland and Tenleigh did for each other.

Bagus banget. Fuck dude this book hurts so good. solid 5/5 idc what anyone says this is my fav book from one of my fav romance authors of all time. And Kyland is also one of my fav boyfriend books ever. He's so perfect for what?

Another flawless story from Mia Sheridan! Kyland is a beautifully written story about love and sacrifice and perseverance and family and home. Kyland and Tenleigh are some of my favorite characters. Ever. I felt like I was living their lives right along with them and that's a true sign of an amazingly talented author. Cheers to Mia Sheridan for another astounding book.

Thank you NetGalley for sending me this! Wow, Mia Sheridan does it again. I devoured this in less than 24 hours, I couldn’t get enough of this story. Ten and Kyland’s love story was so sweet. The type where you can’t stop smiling and your cheeks hurt but then you also feel a gaping hole in your chest for all the struggles they face. Surprisingly, I loved the timeline shift?! At first I was shocked at Ky’s actions, but when all the pieces started to fit together… wow. Talk about selflessness!!!! You know it’s pure and unconditional love when both of them would sacrifice everything for the other… especially when you consider the poverty both have grown up in :,) off to go buy tons and tons of lavender now hehe

DID NOT FINISH: 14%

The story was tough to get through, the depiction of being poor was pretty demeaning, and the characters don’t make sense together.

This book! I'm in love. Please do not judge this book by it's cover. The cover is terrible. The story is wonderful. These characters are going to stick with me for a while. This is the first book I have read from Mia Sheridan and her writing style reminds me a little bit of Colleen Hoover, only much better. 100% recommend this book. I will definitely be reading more from this author.

“You pierce my soul. I am half agony, half hope. Tell me not that I am too late, that such precious feelings are gone forever . . . I have loved none but you.”

Just love it when books are their thing <3 the way they left notes about their favorite books..
This was a really sweet story about two people that have led a hard life and want to escape the poverty by receiving a scholarship, but it’s only awarded to one person. Kyland and Tenleigh develop a really precious friendship and talk about their dreams and hopes, and become each other’s best friends and ultimately fall in love..

“I’m going to make all your dreams come true. All my life.”

“I do go to hell. Every day. For you.”

“Tenleigh.
Half agony, half hope.
Half pain, half ecstacy.
Half grief, half joy.
Half my downfall, half my savior.”
