Loved the story, the rich background, and the characters. The exposition got heavy at times -- more non-expository dialogue would have made this a much stronger work -- but the story kept pulling me forward. Found classic satisfaction in the equally-classic interweavings of loose threads by the end of the book (even those I saw coming), and would definitely enjoy seeing more work from this author.
