I am so gutted this series is over. I want to read about these characters forever.

I went into A False Start thinking no characters could beat Mira and Stefan but Nadia and Griffin sure did put up a fight. This story broke my heart and healed my heart. Was I ridiculously frustrated in places because how dare anyone tell a young woman what is or isn’t right for her? Absolutely. Did I completely understand why this tale had to take the paths it did? Absolutely.

My only criticism is that I think the book could have been a bit more concise, but, then again, I’d also happily read about these two forever soooo… who am I?

I’ve decided I love anything Elsie Silver writes (even if it isn’t all that great tbh 😂) but I am definitely partial to her Chestnut Springs series. This one was definitely the best one from the Gold Rush Ranch series though!

My biggest qualm with A False Start is that it was just too damn long. I skimmed the last probably 30% because by that point it was just dragging on with a side plot that just really wasn’t necessary in my opinion.

Aside from that though I absolutely loved Nadia and Griffin 🥹 the build up to their relationship was great and my man Griffin has a way with words 🥵

Honestly, a bazillion stars. This is 100% my favourite Gold Rush Ranch book.. but sneaky Nadia and Griffin might be one of my favourite couples?! 🤭 don’t sleep on this series especially if you loved Chesnut Springs🫶

I'm so glad Silver decided to give Stefan's sister Nadia her own book. It was a great way to finish out the series. I adored Nadia and Griffin's romance from the start. There is a fourteen-year age gap between them, and Griffin is Stefan's best friend. Those are not the only hurdles these two face. Both have tumultuous pasts that could threaten their relationship. I loved how Nadia was trying to make herself a better person and into who she wanted to be. I loved Griffin's quiet gruffness. They had amazing chemistry and were adorable together. I loved the way they faced their challenges.
