I am so gutted this series is over. I want to read about these characters forever.

I went into A False Start thinking no characters could beat Mira and Stefan but Nadia and Griffin sure did put up a fight. This story broke my heart and healed my heart. Was I ridiculously frustrated in places because how dare anyone tell a young woman what is or isn’t right for her? Absolutely. Did I completely understand why this tale had to take the paths it did? Absolutely.

My only criticism is that I think the book could have been a bit more concise, but, then again, I’d also happily read about these two forever soooo… who am I?

I know that age-gap romance is a fantasy thing, but when it is in such a realistic setting it just makes me feel uncomfortable.

But only because of how it is portrayed...
With her being 19 and him being 33 when they made out and
him telling her how in that moment he knew he wanted her to be his when they are intimate for the first time.

Because that did not need to happen this way.

I also dislike how the mMC and the fMCs older brother are supposed to be "best buds" but when it comes to showing their relationship the author decided to skip the parts as in every time they interact your only being told about how "mMC and fMCs brother are now sharing inside jokes"...

The book kind of started to bore me as the trauma and drama is there but any plot is missing (and romance books can have a- if not more - plotlines apart from the MCs getting together) just give me something, like getting to know the characters apart from each other.

Spice(quantity&quality):
3.25/5
The spice helped the book...
There was variety, the scenes were detailled and fit the characters.

I'm so glad Silver decided to give Stefan's sister Nadia her own book. It was a great way to finish out the series. I adored Nadia and Griffin's romance from the start. There is a fourteen-year age gap between them, and Griffin is Stefan's best friend. Those are not the only hurdles these two face. Both have tumultuous pasts that could threaten their relationship. I loved how Nadia was trying to make herself a better person and into who she wanted to be. I loved Griffin's quiet gruffness. They had amazing chemistry and were adorable together. I loved the way they faced their challenges.
