Great book. The ending was a bit predictable, but still held some surprises that made it an extremely compelling book to read.

Great story, but I honestly can't stand Flynn's writing style. The show is better, which I rarely say!

Sharp Objects is the 3rd book that I've read by Gillian Flynn and like the others it is definitely a page-turner. I finally picked this up due to the HBO limited series adaptation of the novel. I wanted to read the book first before diving into the show. I am really curious to see how they handle some of the plot elements in the show.

A good mystery and did want to keep reading to find out what was next but so much of the book spent building it up and then a rushed ending

An obvious ending, but the book isn't any less good for it. Seriously, the moment
Spoiler Camille comes across those girls in the woods, it's obvious they did it
. There are a few, brief sexist trains of thought from the narrator, but they fit with the character. One of the main issues is the last chapter before the epilogue, which disrupts the pacing as it is more of a summary than anything else. I enjoyed it, though, and it hooked me from the get-go.
