Let me start by saying if you read this book you must play the song Ballad For Sophie when you get to the end.

DID NOT FINISH

Ummmm
I just felt dirty reading this
I made it about halfway through then honestly skimmed the rest
The art style was great but there was too many bed scenes for me

Well my first graphic novel did not disappoint! I’m not sure what I was expecting, but this was a surprisingly deep and emotional read.
.
We follow the story of a recluse piano superstar as he reveals his life story - from rivalries, to family dramas, to WWII involvement, to homelessness and unlikely friends- I laughed, I cried, my heart broke and was pieced back together, although fragile. The message conveyed through the illustrations is outstanding, and honestly makes the story complete.

Beautiful.
