Augh I think I would have enjoyed this more if it had been...written by someone else. Can we do book remakes the way they do with movies?

The writing is overwrought and very ripe cheese. Women aren't even window dressing in Moorcock's universe. We learn more about Elric's cloak than we do about his wife. She gets kidnapped by the bad guys in one of the novellas (and actually again later by a different bad guy) and Elric is SO upset about this, nothing else matters to him, but she gets like MAYBE a dozen speaking lines across three novellas.

Teenage Dana, what were you thinking??

Anyhow, I like the whole Law vs Chaos and cosmology stuff.
