I think that despite a gloomy athmosphere and a difficult subject, the novel shows a very positive outlook of life. I was also surprised at how close the movie follows this novel. Anyway, sometimes all you need is a five minute break, while reading this on you ride to\from work.

Can’t believe it but I kind of loved this book … not necessarily the fact that everyone is dead (not everyone but you know, a lot of gruesome murder, cattle guns, etc.) but I really enjoyed the shifting POVs of Chigurh, Moss and Bell — three people who couldn’t be more different from their morals to their view of life and death — who are all so interconnected through the story. Also super interesting to think about how the three men are all products of war (veterans) but that experience morphed each of them each into something very different.
Side note, my dad let me watch this movie when I was about 9 year old I’d say, which as far as good parenting goes maybe wasn’t a great idea, BUT because I was so young I basically had forgotten the whole plot and could enjoy it in book form lol.
