Always loved the movie, and of course this is brilliant too.
I don’t know if it struck me as much as I thought it would. But there is no denying that Cormac McCarthy knows how to send you straight to hell. He makes his worlds so bleak in the best way possible. There’s something so calm about his writing, it really makes you pause, reflect, and soak up each word on the page.
