I enjoyed this book, but for some reason it was slow going.

Generally speaking this was a very cozy read about rediscovering yourself and love after a heartbreak. There is teasing and banter better the LIs but there is no sex whatsoever (not even closed door).

Spoilers abound!!
This was on track for a high 3/5 but that ending was just so sloppy. The entire catfishing plot was a letdown and just felt like padding or a first draft.

Also the fortune teller (at least in the audio) made me a little uncomfortable in her portrayal. I don't think it will bother everyone but it felt really off compared to the rest of the book.

This was such a cute easy read. I loved all the characters and envisioned Max to look like Jason Mamosa so the visuals in my head were pretty good!

NOTE: I received a complimentary ARC of this book from HQ Digital through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I really enjoy Rebecca Raisin’s writing. It’s fun, quirky, and she never fails to draw me in and make me feel as though I know her characters personally and feel their pain, happiness, and excitement with them!

**WARNING - SPOILERS AHEAD**

The only reason I didn’t give this one a full five stars is because it was a little predictable when it came to Oliver and the ending was kind of… abrupt. Rosie went straight from being upset when she found out Oliver had catfished her to instantly confessing her love for Max, when she’d previously been very uncertain about how she felt about him. It would have felt much more natural if the story had built up to that confession a bit more instead of Rosie leaning heavily towards Oliver because Max wasn’t “safe” and then suddenly changing her mind when Oliver was no longer an option.

Other than that, I very much enjoyed the story and I’ll definitely be reading more of Rebecca Raisin’s books in the future!

A nice little story. There is hope for second chance love. I listened to this one and loved the accents.
