There are some references to trying to use alcohol to convince someone to have sex, also to people's likenesses being used for holosex programs without their knowledge or consent :( Odo shapeshifts quite a bit, including into some strange forms that could qualify as body horror. One plot point eventually involves an electromagnetic pulse. There isn't technically a fire per se, but several scenes involve extreme heat connected with a reactor malfunction, and several already dead bodies are damaged by this. Characters also incur minor burns from hot infrastructure and Odo is affected by the heat and his impending need for rest in an idiosyncratic way that could come across as body horror. In some respects you can deduce that SOMETHING in the way of plot armor has to happen since it's an early seasons novel, so yeah the ending isn't as bleak as the first 90% of the book gets. In fact,
