The first 60% or so of this book was SO SLOW. Just so much exposition of the MC’s job, commute, daily life, etc. I thought the end was very predictable and generally not that clever. When there are multiple mysteries going on but no relationship between them it feels lazy - nobody has that many criminals out to get them at one time?
What I love about Mary’s books are the twists and page 1 of part 2 was shattering!! Another great read of this author’s and I can’t wait to read more!
