I was reading this with my son and he found it so engaging that he started listening to it without me and finished it without me.  I will likely not finish it on my own.

Blake said this book was better than Robin Hood because in addition to all the action there were also "girls". I had to laugh as he explained that there was even a secret rendezvous and that the hero got "busted". Ah well, what is a story about knights without a damsel or two, right?
slow-paced

Difficult to read, atleast for me.

History Year Two. Great fun, must-read for boys in particular.

Enjoyable and exciting read

I would recommend this book to any fan of Harry Potter. Just replace wizards with Knights. Four more words required.

Listened to the audiobook with the kids. Such a great book, and they were able to follow the old fashioned language with some explanations from me.

My mom read this book outloud to us when I was home-schooled. I remembered very little of it, so most of the story was exciting and new this time around. I love the author's commentary on boyhood, and the transformation of a boy into a man. Read on the kindle.

Entertaining and exciting novel set in the middle ages, of a boy's quest to become a knight and restore his father's honor and place among the nobility. Even more, its about the growth and development of a young boy to a man. One of my favorites when I was growing up. Another of my favorites from my youth.
