I really enjoyed this book it was different than other books in this genre I am looking forward to reading the next book. I really loved all of the characters they were all so unique especially Leena and Noc it was a slower burn but still an amazing romance that I rooted for from the start. What I really liked about Leena was she started off an someone who could not really trust people after the worst betrayal but over time she fell in love and gained a sort of family that was worth the wait. I really loved the plot it started with a Beast Charmer named Leena that made a deal with assassins it became so much more I am looking forward to reading more.
I have a love hate relationship with this book. Over all I think it's a really good book there were a few things however that I didn't really care for. First point I don't know how much I liked how they treated Leena for most of the book. I don't want to give to much away so you would have to read it for yourself. Im also not sure if so many different POVs were necessary to the story. I think two would have been fine.There was something else but I'm not going to mention that sense it's pretty personal. But like I said besides those two things it's a great book. I think the relationship between Noc and Leena is believable dispite the circumstances. I also enjoyed the friendship they all grew to have.

Really interesting concept with a formulaic execution. The writing style just didn't grab me and all the romantic angst made it feel more like a melodramatic new adult romance than an adult fantasy novel. I suppose I should have paid closer attention to the classification. I prefer my fantasy heavy on the action and intrigue and lighter on the romance.
The writing was okay, but I really enjoyed the world and characters and am interested to see how the story continues in book two.

Fun and intriguing start to this fantasy series. Love the cultures and beasts.
Fun, fast paced, mysterious and with some slow burn romance, this was a great read!
A great read for anyone who loves a little magic, a strong female character, and interesting beasts. Leena is a charmer who is able to tame magical beasts. She has been exiled out of her homeland and now has to sell her beasts to survive. Things get worse for her though when a group of assassins are hired to kill her. Leena is resourceful though and tries to find a way out of her imminent death.
I really enjoyed so many parts of this novel. The characters are very likeable. There was a romance element that I enjoyed. This world was unique and the beasts were interesting to learn about. This is a start of a series and at the end of this book you will definitely want to read more.
