A page turner but not well written. The mc is unlikable to a cartoonish degree that had me rolling my eyes almost every page. Her perspective and the dialogue was stiff and took me out of the story a number of times. The mystery and thriller elements hooked me but if i wasn't reading this for book club I probably would have dnf'd.

Some portions in Part 1 are a bit slow but Parts 2 and 3 got me hooked. I love the twists because they are not forced. The ending may be formulaic or soap-operatic but I'm fine with it. There are only 3 main characters. The two female leads were written well. Mr. Parrish's story, for me, was not fully developed.
