Imagino que não deve ser simples escrever um livro aparentemente simples como Poeta Chileno. Uma história sem nenhum grande drama notável e comovente, sem grandes acontecimentos que levem a um final suspensivo e, ainda assim, nada previsível. Só o registro casual e cotidiano de confusas e muy melindrosas relações humanas, num ritmo que se sente como Black Star do Radiohead e que deixa uma atmosférica melancólica. i adored this book, the entire history of chilean poetry is inescapable for the main characters as they try to assert their own lives

Que maravilha, o início de 2023 tem sido literariamente generoso. Este Poeta Chileno tem tudo o que eu gosto num livro: agarra desde o início, dá vontade de o acabar com urgência e dá vontade que não acabe tão cedo. Mas até o final é brilhantemente explicado por Zambra.
Trouxe-o da biblioteca e não o queria devolver...

I enjoyed reading the book considering its length. Straightforward sentences that manages to record the raw and detailed living actions of the characters. Loved the end where Gonzalo and Vicente reconnect—touching. Did not like the 3rd section where it focuses on Pru for a good amount of pages. But helps build context and depth for the later part.
