This was probably my favourite read so far this year. I enjoyed the compelling sea creature stories and how they related back to the author's life. This memoir about the growing pains of a queer, trans and biracial individual was written in such a beautifully heartbreaking but captivating way that I can't help but feel I was there with them. Definitely a book I will pick up again for a re-read.
