This was the most beautiful and heartwarming book I’ve ever read. This is what I wished for as a kid—to find a place to call home and be loved and known — this was everything and more.

A wonderful and charming read. A bit repetitive, and certainly beats you over the head with allegory- but as someone who grew up on X-men, I don’t mind. I appreciate the queer aspect of it, though personally I thought the romance was a bit shoehorned in. Also got a little tired of reading every single chapter that the MC is a bit bigger- understood the first time, you don’t have to keep harping on it. Overall tho a very heartwarming and lovely story.
