For some reason, it didn’t really come off as a a memoir at first…so I had to adjust to her storytelling. Some times a chapter would go in a direction that I thought “unnecessary” but then I’d remember that it was a memoir and her retelling of her story can be told however the heck she wants it to be told!
Brave to share and expose all the hard parts of her upbringing
