The blurb on storygraph is quite accurate. This is an anthology of BDSM lesbian erotica. I find that sort of thing kind of repetitive and predictable but to be fair I am probably not the right audience. I am cross that elsewhere this was marketed to me as groundbreaking writing that features powerful femmes and reverses stereotypes. That's not quite true. There are femmes dominating, hurting and humiliating a range of characters in each of these stories (apart from maybe the first one which seemed more like a butch in any case).

This is not what I thought I was being sold and I am cross about that but I wouldn't want to take it out on the authors assuming they pitched this honestly. There was more variation of setting etc in this than usual and thankfully it wasn't one of those anthologies which has the same characters going through basically the same limited repertoire each time.

If you want to read BDSM I suspect you will like this better than I did. If you thought this was going to be some sort of breaking of stereotypes then keep looking elsewhere. I think I found about two of the stories mildly sexy. I think I am more deprived of affection than sex. Sex is everywhere. 

I am grumpy and possibly boring. You may love this.
