This book was so good to start with but then it got so cringey and cliche. The sex scenes were soooo bad and cringey | had to skip over them. There was basically no plot, no drama and the characters lacked any real personality. I ended up just reading the dialogue and that was bad enough.

I liked this book! It was a cute, easy read that I enjoyed. I had started the second book in this series first and by 2 chapters in, I realised I need to read this one first and now I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

This was my fist sports romance book and I loved every second of it. As a beginner in American football, there were a couple things I learned because of the well written descriptions whilst enjoying the backdrop of spicy romance. There is nothing I would change about it. It’s a masterpiece! It’s my first time reading a ML being the one willing to abandon his dreams so that he gets to keep the girl. I could also sympathize with the FL’s abandonment issues and how they manifest into her self-worth. Since it’s the my first book from the author, I’m gonna read more from her.

First Down was a cute, steamy sports romance that easily accomplished what it set out to do.

This book was cute, but it wasn’t stellar. I had some issues with a few character choices, and wish there had been more development on the side characters, but James and Bex were very cute together.

I will definitely keep the rest of the series in mind when I need another palette cleanse. 3 stars.
