This was different than other thrillers I’ve read. I really liked it but it wasn’t as suspenseful as I would have liked. I was confused at certain parts, especially where the chapters alternated from past to present.

Entertaining and well-written with an engaging mystery and reveal. The end was ultimately underwhelming, though- I feel that it was too simple.

A book being on a well loved book list creates a certain expectation for how you’ll feel after the read.
Going without expectation, I did enjoy the read. Not my typical read, which is why I’m giving 3 instead of 4.
