This book covered so much as they both matured and decided what they wanted and where/if their relationship was a part of it. At times Hannah’s choices were frustrating, but it was good to see how she continued to grow up in this book. I love that the book did not focus on how unhealthy ballet can be as she tried to start a career, but focuses on a supportive environment. The ending was so sweet, It was worth everything they went to get to. I highly recommend this book, especially if you love ballet and romance. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the final book in the On Pointe series and it continues Hannah’s story.
Hannah has always made ballet the top priority in her life and this year is no different. She’s recovering from her injury and starting at the ballet school in Seattle. This book starts immediately after her and Trevor’s argument, she’s still mad at him for alerting the school that she was injured.
Hannah is home saying goodbye to her friends as this book starts and getting emotional about the next step in her life. It’s hard to imagine thinking about moving away from home and getting an apartment in a new state at barely 17.

Trevor reconnects with Hannah and offers her potential solutions, since he actually lives in Seattle. Things could be easier for their relationship and her living situation but Hannah recoils at the idea and they have a much bigger fight.

I don’t want to say anything spoiler-ish so I’ll stop here with talking about the plot.

Sometimes Hannah frustrates me because she’s not always nice to Trevor. Trevor is a bit blinded by his love for her. I was really grateful that Hannah’s friends had a little talk with both her and Trevor about the way she treats him.

I thought this story gave a nice conclusion to Hannah’s story both on the ballet front and the Trevor front. We also got to check in with her friends Olivia, Katy and Lisa and I appreciated that.

I squealed with delight when I got an email from
Penelope with the ARC for this book. I couldn’t sit down and read it until this morning, but once I did I read it in one sitting. I feel like I really know these characters, like they’re old friends from high school, and I was so ready to see what happened with them as they navigated all the big changes coming up in their lives.

Gosh. I can relate to scared, stubborn Hannah so much. And to overexcited, overly helpful and kind of pushy Trevor. Penelope has a way of writing their flaws in such a real way that when they finally sit down and start to parse out their behavior and how to fix their problems, you’re truly proud of them for their growth. And that’s what happens here! Maturity is a hard thing to come by sometimes, but I was really happy to see both of these two characters that I’ve come to love over four books grow up. And excited still to see glimpses into what was happening with Katy, Olivia, Lisa, and Martin. They’re all excellent friends to Hannah, the type of friends that everyone should have. It was aching and a little heartbreaking to see the angst that Hannah and Trevor both had to go through, but I was so happy when they found a resolution and were honest with each other.

And that epilogue, are you kidding me??? Happy smiles and happy tears! A perfect bow on the end of this excellent series that I will recommend to everyone and read again and again.

I am speechless.

Heart to Heart had all the big things, the little things, the scary things and all the amazing things that I could have hoped for to end the series.

Hannah's growth throughout this series has been so wonderful to see. From a scared, kind of self-absorbed young girl, to the flourishing, self-aware young woman has really been a heart-warming journey.
It was so nice to read a story that didn't showcase the seedy, harsh and unhealthy side of ballet, and instead have a tale that embraces balance, kindness and a stable, loving environment.
I already know I'll be reading this series again and again, as Hannah, Olivia, Lisa and Katy have taken up residence in my heart.
